What is VISTA?

Volunteers In Service To America (VISTA) members work to build capacity and expand opportunities to bring low income communities out of poverty. RurAL CAP acts as a Multi Focus Intermediary to partner with Alaska agencies to place VISTA members with host sites. VISTA Benefits of service include:

  • $1,333/ Month Living Allowance
  • $5,920 Education Award Upon Completion of Service
  • Relocation Assistance
  • Non Competitive Eligibility for Federal Jobs
